Expanding Vietnam-Korea Cooperation in Higher Education: New Opportunities for Lecturers and Students
As part of the strategy to strengthen cooperation and international integration in higher education, the International Institute and the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities recently welcomed and held a working session with representatives from Wonkwang University, South Korea. The visit and working session took place in an open, trusting, and highly constructive atmosphere, opening up many prospects for practical cooperation between the two educational institutions.
During the meeting, leaders from both sides introduced an overview of each institution's strengths, development orientations, and internationalization strategies. Mr. Tran Anh Dung - Executive Director, highly appreciated the reputation, training quality, and international cooperation activities of Wonkwang University. From the Korean partner's side, Mr. Kang Yeon Seok - Head of the International Cooperation Department, also expressed his impression of the development potential, training scale, and commitment to international integration of the Vietnamese institution.
Both parties discussed and agreed to promote cooperation in various areas, including student and lecturer exchange activities; implementing joint training programs; scientific research cooperation, co-organizing conferences and international publications; and developing academic and cultural exchange activities to enhance mutual understanding. Regarding practical opportunities for lecturers and students, Ms. Huynh Thi Mai Trinh - Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, emphasized that cooperative activities not only hold strategic significance for both institutions but also aim to bring direct and long-term benefits to lecturers and students. Through exchange and joint training programs, students will have more opportunities to study in an international environment, enhancing their professional competencies, foreign language skills, and global integration capabilities. With the accompaniment and commitment to support cooperative activities, the presence of Ms. Park Shin Young - Director of the Korean Cultural Center, also promises to bring many distinctive cultural exchange activities, serving as a bridge of friendship between lecturers and students of both institutions.
At the conclusion of the working session, representatives from both sides affirmed their desire to build a long-term, substantive, and mutually beneficial cooperative relationship, based on the spirit of respect, trust, and shared values. This visit is considered an important first step, laying the foundation for both parties to proceed toward specific cooperation agreements in the near future.
Mở rộng hợp tác Việt – Hàn trong giáo dục đại học: Nhiều cơ hội mới cho giảng viên và sinh viên
Trong khuôn khổ chiến lược đẩy mạnh hợp tác và hội nhập quốc tế trong giáo dục đại học, vừa qua, Viện Quốc tế và Khoa Khoa học Xã hội & Nhân văn đã long trọng đón tiếp và làm việc với Đại diện trường Đại học Wonkwang – Hàn Quốc. Chuyến thăm và làm việc diễn ra trong không khí cởi mở, tin cậy và mang tính xây dựng cao, mở ra nhiều triển vọng hợp tác thiết thực giữa hai cơ sở giáo dục.
Tại buổi làm việc, lãnh đạo hai bên đã giới thiệu tổng quan về thế mạnh, định hướng phát triển và chiến lược quốc tế hóa của mỗi trường. Ông Trần Anh Dũng - Giám đốc Điều hành đánh giá cao uy tín, chất lượng đào tạo và hoạt động hợp quốc tế của Trường Đại học Wonkwang, phía đối tác Hàn Quốc, ông Kang Yeon Seok – Trưởng phòng Hợp tác Quốc tế cũng bày tỏ ấn tượng trước tiềm năng phát triển, quy mô đào tạo và cam kết hội nhập quốc tế của nhà trường Việt Nam.
Hai bên đã thảo luận và thống nhất thúc đẩy hợp tác trên nhiều phương diện, bao gồm các hoạt động trao đổi sinh viên, giảng viên; triển khai các chương trình đào tạo liên kết; hợp tác nghiên cứu khoa học, đồng tổ chức hội thảo và công bố quốc tế; phát triển các hoạt động giao lưu học thuật, văn hóa nhằm tăng cường hiểu biết lẫn nhau. Liên quan đến cơ hội thiết thực cho giảng viên và sinh viên, bà Huỳnh Thị Mai Trinh – Trưởng khoa, Khoa Khoa học Xã hội & Nhân văn nhấn mạnh các hoạt động hợp tác không chỉ mang ý nghĩa chiến lược đối với hai nhà trường mà còn hướng tới lợi ích trực tiếp và lâu dài cho giảng viên, sinh viên. Thông qua các chương trình trao đổi và liên kết đào tạo, sinh viên sẽ có thêm cơ hội học tập trong môi trường quốc tế, nâng cao năng lực chuyên môn, ngoại ngữ và kỹ năng hội nhập toàn cầu. Với sự đồng hành và cam kết hỗ trợ cho các hoạt động hợp tác, sự hiện diện của Bà Park Shin Young – Viện trưởng Trung tâm Văn hóa Hàn Quốc cũng hứa hẹn mang lại nhiều hoạt động giao lưu văn hóa đặc sắc, làm cầu nối hữu nghị giữa giảng viên và sinh viên của hai trường.
Kết thúc buổi làm việc, đại diện lãnh đạo hai bên cùng khẳng định mong muốn xây dựng mối quan hệ hợp tác lâu dài, thực chất và cùng phát triển, trên tinh thần tôn trọng, tin cậy và chia sẻ giá trị chung. Chuyến thăm lần này được xem là bước khởi đầu quan trọng, tạo nền tảng để hai bên tiến tới các thỏa thuận hợp tác cụ thể trong thời gian tới.
